Durkin Community Room, 50 Day St, in the City of Fitchburg, Massachusetts. Present: FHA Board Members: Linda Byrne, Chair Adam Goodwin, Vice Chair David Rousseau, Treasurer David Basilio, Assistant Treasurer Thomas Hughes, Member FHA Staff: Douglas Bushman, Executive Director Andrew Skoog, Deputy Director Kim Hergert, Director of Finance/HR Charline Spencer, Admin Clerk II Sarjine Legros, Fitchburg State Intern Quorum: Yes Motion to Open Meeting at 10:32 am Move: Adam Goodwin Second: David Basilio Motion to Approve Revised Budget Move: Adam Goodwin Second: David Rousseau Doug Bushman informed the board that EOHLC initially rejected the budget then asked questions. Once the FHA submitted a formal response to the questions, he received approval for a revised budget. He is ecstatic with the budget. EOHLC will be supplementing the reserves, approving a new truck, and approved hiring a Director of Facilities. They also approved funding for mold mediation, generator, plumbing and elevator repairs too. They rejected a budget exemption for legal costs. The fee accountant said we should just keep making repayment agreements with tenants if we can’t get the funds to evict them. Construction projects were discussed. We have some force account projects that will help the budget. Director of Facilities position was discussed. David Basilio stated this position should be someone who has a maintenance education and thinks they should have a college degree in Facilities Maintenance. Adam Goodwin asked how many maintenance staff we currently have. Mr. Bushman stated the FHA has nine (9) maintenance employees.
