Minutes: After a review of the October 2, 2024 minutes, Ms. Campbell made a motion to approve, Mr. Lamey seconded and by unanimous vote, the minutes were approved. Ratify: After a late arrival online and introduction, Tiffany Wells, was unanimously ratified as a member of the board. This is information that has already been presented to faculty, detailing the plan to equalize the weight of AP & Dual Enrollment classes, as well as eliminate the CP level. In addition, the plan was created to be more aligned to the system used by Higher Education. A discussion ensued where the topics of rigor of AP vs. Dual Enrollment and is our plan comparable to other surrounding schools, or similar urban schools. No action was taken and it was decided to table any vote until the next meeting where we might be presented with more information by FPS Data Specialist Mr. Packard. Subcommittee creation: After discussion the board has created two subcommittees. Grading: a subcommittee to revamp the grading system with the following members of the board: Ofelia Maskewich, Tiffany Wells, Sophia Robinson, Zackary Gardner, and Peter Perry. PTO: A subcommittee to plan and create an active PTO with the following members of the board: Ofelia Maskewich, Sophia Robinson, Jean Raabe, Tiffany Wells, Dr. John Braga, Alissa Campbell, and Matthew Lamey. Agenda Items for Next Meeting: ● As the last week of December coincides with the winter break, it was decided to schedule the next meeting on Tuesday December 17 at 2:30. ● Address the GPA issue with the support of Mr. Packard’s visit ● Engage in our first subcommittee break out session.
