FITCHBURG CITY CLERK Jul 29 2022 12:16 pm Fitchburg Historical Commission Meeting Minutes - March 31, 2022 3:00 pm Meeting called to order. Attendees: Keith Chenot, Don Ostrowski, Ellen DiGeronimo, Meagen Donoghue. – Guest: Tracy Sladen Introduction of Tracy Sladen: Tracy has been a realtor for 15 years with an interest in Historic Preservation and History. She will e-mail Keith if she is interested in the joining the Commission. 1. Ellen moved to hold the February Meeting Minutes for further information. Keith seconded the motion. It was approved unanimously. 2. The January Meeting Minutes were also held. Ellen made the motion; Meagen seconded the motion. It was approved unanimously. 3. Rules and Regulations Update: Ellen said Keith and Sam are to be commended for their outstanding work on The Rules & Regulations. It was agreed that work on the Rules and Regulations be a priority for the Commission. Keith proposed to forward the Rules & Regulations to the Office of Community & Development Department, with a request to review and comment by the beginning of April or by April 28th, the date of the next FHC Meeting in order that the Commission can vote to approve the Rules & Regulations. Ellen motioned to forward the documents, Meagen seconded the motion, unanimously approved. Keith will send out tomorrow. Once approved, they will be posted on FHC’s website. 4. Demo Delay Ordinance Draft – Don updated the version in February – make delay period 12 months – 50 years or older. Needs a 2/3 vote from City Council. An educational component needs to be created for discussions with the City Councilors. Ellen suggested inviting the PC&D Director, Building Commissioner to discuss the Demolition Delay Ordinance. 5.
