BOARD OF LICENSE COMMISSIONERS City Hall, 718 Main Street Fitchburg MA 01420 FITCHBURG CITY CLERK (978) 829-1820 Oct 19 2021 9:40 am Daniel Sarefield, Chairman Richard Boscardin John Zarrella MINUTES OF MEETING A Special meeting of the Board of License Commissioners was held on October 8, 2021 over the Zoom meeting platform, and called to order by Commissioner Sarefield at 11:07 AM. Commissioners Boscardin was present. I. APPLICATIONS Thirsty Robot, 265 Summer Street, for Entertainment Permit for October 10, 2021 1-5 PM. (PA-21-44) Thirsty Robot’s application for a Special Extension of Outdoor Licensed Premises (ELP-21-6) Mr. Bill diMario was present at the meeting. Mr. diMario stated that the event was a motorcycle showcase and he expected approximately 20 motorcycles to be parked in his lot. He was looking to have an enclosed area in the parking lot blocked off by barriers and rope lines to allow patrons to walk around and consume their alcoholic beverages. Commissioner Sarefield noted that the application for the extension of premises still required inspections and signoffs from other departments and although the Commission could conditionally approve the application it would not be able to provide final approval until these steps were completed. He noted that Mr. diMario could have applied for a one day liquor license to cover the outdoor area and suggested he use this mechanism if he had any events in the near future. Commission Sarefield advised Mr. diMario that if he were granted a one day license, he would need to turn in his yearly liquor license to the police department and post the one day license at his establishment. Mr diMario stated that he did have another event planned for October 23rd and would apply for the one day license. Provisional City Clerk noted that Lt. Howe sent correspondence that the Fitchburg Police Department had no concerns with the applications. Motion to approve the application for an entertainment permit was approved by unanimous consent 2/0 Motion to continue the application for a Special Extension of Outdoor Licensed Premises to October 18, 2021 was approve by unanimous consent 2/0 The meeting adjourned at 11:26 AM Page 1 Respectfully submitted, Amanda K.
