BOARD OF LICENSE COMMISSIONERS City Hall, 718 Main Street FITCHBURG CITY CLERK Fitchburg MA 01420 Apr 05 2022 9:10 am (978) 829-1820 Daniel Sarefield, Chairman Richard Boscardin John Zarrella MINUTES OF MEETING A regular meeting of the Board of License Commissioners was held on March 21, 2022 over the Zoom meeting platform, and called to order by Commissioner Sarefield at 6:03 PM. Commissioner Boscardin was also present at the meeting. Commissioner Zarrella was absent. FPD Liaison Lieutenant Howe and Provisional City Clerk Amanda Alford were present. I. REVIEW AND APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF PRIOR MEETING(S) Minutes of February 22, 2022 and March 7, 2022 were approved by unanimous consent. II. NEW APPLICATIONS Sunday Entertainment Permit Fiesta Shows, 254 Summer Street, for the St. Bernard’s Carnival to include amusement rides and games on Sunday, April 17, 2022. Fiesta Shows, 254 Summer Street, for the St. Bernard’s Carnival to include amusement rides and games on Sunday, April 24, 2022. Mr. John Flynn was present at the meeting. Commissioner Sarefield requested clarification on the hours the event. Mr. Flynn stated that the hours of operation would be from 1:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on both dates. Applications approved by unanimous roll call vote 2/0. Monday - Saturday Entertainment Permit Fitchburg State University, 160 Pearl Street, for an indoor concert at Recreation Center on Friday, April 29, 2022 from 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Mr. Hank Parkinson was present at the meeting. Commissioner Sarefield asked how many people are expected at the event. Mr. Parkinson’s stated they planned for 1,700 people but that he doesn’t expect the event to be sold out. Application approved by unanimous roll call vote 2/0. Page 1 III. CORRESPONDENCE River Styx Brewing regarding outdoor seating. Request from owner received by the City Clerk’s Office to dismiss correspondence. No action taken. IV. NEW BUSINESS Commissioners decided to continue to hold meetings virtually via Zoom meeting platform until the Governor’s Order expires on July 15, 2022.
