FITCHBURG CITY CLERK May 03 2022 11:31 am BOARD OF LICENSE COMMISSIONERS City Hall, 718 Main Street Fitchburg MA 01420 (978) 829-1820 Daniel Sarefield, Chairman Richard Boscardin John Zarrella MINUTES OF MEETING A Special meeting of the Board of License Commissioners was held on April 12, 2022 over the Zoom meeting platform, and called to order by Commissioner Sarefield at 9:32 AM. Commissioners Boscardin was present. FPD Liaison Lieutenant Howe and Provisional City Clerk Amanda Alford were present. Monday - Saturday Entertainment Permit Ethos Cannabis, 20 Authority Drive, for live acoustic and live amplified music on Wednesday, April 20, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Ms. Tracy Daniell, Assistant Manager of Ethos Cannabis, was present at the meeting. Commissioner Sarefield asked Ms. Daniell to provide an overview of the event. Ms. Daniell stated that this event is to celebrate April 20th which represents a historic day for the cannabis industry. She stated that they plan to have music, vendors, and food. Most of the event is planned for outdoors, but they will have giveaways and information about their products inside. Lt. Howe asked how many people they expect at one time. Ms. Daniell stated that typically they have 200 people during one full day and don’t expect more than 50 in and out at one time. Lt. Howe noted that there can be no consumption on site, inside or outside. Ms. Daniell stated that they only sell to patrons over the age of 21 and that all products are sealed. She noted that they have security on site at all time and consumption will not be allowed. Commissioner Sarefield asked about the times of the event. Ms. Daniell stated that the vent was planned for 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. The music is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. Commissioner Sarefield noted that the regulations of the entertainment permit require the entertainment to end a ½ hour before the time issued for the permit. He asked Ms. Daniell if she would like to amend the application to change the end time to 3:00 p.m. Ms. Daniell requested such amendment.
