BOARD OF LICENSE COMMISSIONERS Fitchburg City Hall, City Clerk’s Office 718 Main Street, Fitchburg MA 01420 Daniel Sarefield, Chairman Richard Boscardin John Zarrella MINUTES OF MEETING A special meeting of the Board of License Commissioners was held on August 18, 2022 over the Zoom meeting platform, and called to order by Commissioner Sarefield at 9:02 AM. Commissioner Boscardin and Commissioner Zarrella were present. FPD Liaison Lieutenant Howe was also present. Ms. Santa, on behalf of the Redemption Community Church, was seeking approval for a Special One Day live amplified music, DJ on Sunday, August 21, 2022, at Memorial Middle School, hosting a backpack give away for the students. Ms. Santa, explained to the commission they hosted the same event last year and did not know a permit was required. Ms. Santa provided the Sunday Entertainment permit application to the City Clerk’s office this morning at 8:43 a.m. The Commission explained, without the approval of the Fire Chief and Building inspector they are unable to approve the Sunday Entertainment Permit Application. Ms. Santa informed the board, she will not use the amplified music for this event, and will make sure to send the application in next year with ample time. I. NEW APPLICATIONS Monday through Saturday Entertainment Permit 1. Diosmar Santa, on behalf of the House of Grace and Restoration, for a Special One Day live amplified music, DJ on Saturday, August 20, 2022, from 8:00AM - 4:00PM, at House of Grace Restoration, 820 Main Street. Annette Connor was present at the meeting. House of Grace Restoration is hosting a backpack for kids and tours of their facility. The DJ will start at 8:00AM – 4:00PM. Lieutenant Howe informed the board there are no issues. Motion to approve the application for a Monday – Saturday entertainment license for the stated date was approved by roll call vote 3/0.
