FITCHBURG CITY CLERK Apr 22 2024 10:22 am MPHN Meeting 3/27/24 Virtual Meeting In attendance: Stephen Curry, Catherine Hoover, Victoria Selser, Laura Wade, Phil Leger, Deb Vondal, Jim Abare, Tom Bonci, Abby Conlin, Laurie Demalia, Stacy Ciccolini, Michelle Powell, Angelia DiPrima, Susan Avallone Meeting opened 10:34 by Steve, Health Director No public in attendance Introduction of Laura Wade to all in attendance. Approval of December 6th minutes: motion to move by Phil, second by Tom Approval of February 7th minutes: motion to move by Phil, second by Tom Budget Review and Balance (Steve): Currently there is approximately $173,000 in the revolving fund. Vote for Lead Agency (Steve): Fitchburg was nominated as lead agency. Motion to move by Phil, second by Tom. All were in agreement. Flu Pre-Book (Catherine): Due by 3/31. Numbers are similar to last year, which is $70.000. The benefits of pre-book allows us the option to return 10% of vaccine if not needed. As of today, we are currently still receiving reimbursements for fall/winter vaccines. Motion to approve $70,000 by Phil, second by Tom. Covid/Hep A Vaccine Purchase (Catherine): Other than boosters, as needed, we will do not have a need for additional Covid vaccine this season. Phil noted that Covid season doesn’t end and boosters will be required for certain individuals. Covid/Hep A Vaccine Purchase: The remaining budget for Covid vaccine is $20,000. The remaining budget for Hep-A is $2,391. Motion to approve by Phil and second by Tom. Training Reminders: All training records from LPHI must be downloaded before March 31st. All training will transition to TRAIN.ORG going forward. Phil questioned the removal of the word “field” removed due to racial inequity. Catherine to request context for this issue. Questions arose regarding Deb’s retirement and who would be handling septic issues and/or soil tests going forward. Steve offered coverage, as needed. Deb will provide June with Fitchburg’s contact information for any issues related to septic/soil. Announcements – New and Old Business: Steve congratulated Deb on her retirement. Next meeting to be in person at the Legislative Building and recorded by FATV. The hope is to be transparent and show the hard work our communities have done over the past 14 years. Proposed date is April 24th. A save the date will be sent out. Phil mentioned the active shooter training on 4/9 in Leominster. Meeting adjourned
