FITCHBURG CITY CLERK Apr 17 2024 2:12 pm TO: Interested Parties FROM: Glenn Eaton, Executive Director RE: Draft FFY 2025-2029 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) and Draft FFY 2025 Unified Planning Work Program (UPWP) DATE: April 17, 2023 Based upon the Montachusett Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) Public Participation Program (PPP) that establishes a proactive public involvement process, this memo serves as notice of a 21-day public review and comment period for the: 1. Draft FFY 2025-2029 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) and; 2. Draft FFY 2025 Unified Planning Work Program (UPWP) The Montachusett MPO voted to release these documents and to announce their availability. The public involvement process with the time established for review of the TIP will satisfy the Program of Projects (POP) requirements for transit projects. The public review and comment period for these documents will commence on Friday April 19, 2024, and close at the end of business on Friday May 10, 2024. All documents have been developed based upon state and federal guidelines and requirements and are available for public review and comment for 21 days. Copies can be obtained online at the MRPC website, www.mrpc.org or copies can be mailed upon request by contacting the MRPC at (978) 345-7376. Any interested party may review the draft documents and make any comments that they deem appropriate. Written or verbal comments will be accepted until the close of business on Friday May 10, 2024, and should be addressed: TIP/UPWP Comments, MRPC, 464 Abbott Avenue, Leominster, MA 01453. Comments can also be sent via email to: mrpc@mrpc.org. Please specify TIP or UPWP Comment in the subject line. Comments may also be made on the draft documents at the regularly scheduled meetings of the Montachusett Joint Transportation Committee (MJTC) on Wednesday May 8, 2024, at 2:30 PM or the full Commission on Thursday, May 2, 2024, at 7:00 PM. All meetings are open to the public and are held online only. To participate, please see the individual calendar notice for the appropriate event on the MRPC website. Information on how to access the virtual meetings will be listed there. Comments received will be reviewed and incorporated into final draft documents to be forwarded for endorsement to the MPO at a meeting to be held online on Wednesday May 15, 2024, at 1:00 PM.
