Elam Road Fitchburg, MA 01420 Office: 978-345-9578 FAX: 978-345-9686 www.fitchburgma.gov CEMETERY TRUSTEE SPECIAL BOARD MEETING MINUTES Friday, October 23, 2015 Call to Order: Chairman Philip Jordan called the October 23, 2015 special meeting to order at 9:04 am Trustee Members Present: Philip Jordan, Donna Coco, Diane Ouellette and Donald Lassila Trustee Members Absent: Joe Coco (4) Trees in the expansion on Electric Avenue side of cemetery need to be removed. The city has a contract with Flagg Tree Removal. After a discussion on tree contract the Board voted to move forward. A motion made by Don Lassila, and seconded by Diane Ouellette to remove the four trees with the expenses being paid from the Revolving account. 4 in favor, 0 opposed - Motion passed. Old Business: Section D Expansion – More clearing needs to happen to get the proper grade of slope for the graves – Engineering has map for Gary Withington to follow –staying within the 100 ft of the wetlands restriction – Gary Withington will schedule when time allows. New Business: Graves along Mt. Elam will be utilized – Section P– These graves were already approved by Trustees when section O was laid out. – Engineering will put grave markers in place Events: Next meeting scheduled for November 19, 2015 at 9:00 am – at Cemetery Office A motion made at 9:17 am by Don Lassila, and seconded by Diane Ouellette to adjourn the meeting. 4 in favor, 0 opposed - Motion passed.
