FLORA TOURISM City Hall June 17th, 2026 – 5:00 pm The meeting was called to order at 5:17 pm by Stephen Smith. Committee members Present: Stephen Smith, Lacey Lewis, Arriel Dulaney, Phil Wiley, Nikki Green Absent: Dawn Wiles GUESTS: Cassie Devore, Joe and Larissa Goodman Previous minutes were read and a motion to approve was made by Lacey and seconded by Nikki. The financial report was presented, a motion to approve was made by Phil and seconded by Lacey. OLD BUSINESS NEW BUSINESS Fourth of July - 250th Anniversary Flyer is circulating - 900 shot finale - Inflatables reserved - Decided to lose some of the inflatables and make it 2 water slides and 1 bounce house - Goombay, Dino Dive, and Princess Bounce House - Location just south of the pool - Band - see if we can get sponsors for the band to cover the expense. 6-Dusk $3,000 - Taylor Kerney - Needs a trailer and electricity - Maybe pool parking area for location - Vendors by Merchant building - KST - East Side, TFL - Middle, Poe - West side - All American Boy and Girl Contest - Kenzie’s Sweet shop and Kernal Pop will be present - Provide Water Bottles - Need to contact Esda for directing traffic - Contacted - Overflow parking at oilbelt available - Hotdogs and Pork Burger Fundraiser $5 Also offering Drinks for additional charge from 12-4 - Email Mike about having the bathrooms opened early and to make sure we have TP, Soap, and Papertowls, Two Tables and chairs at Gazebo for Contest - Need volunteers for Inflatables, Gate Donation Collection, Shuttle Service - Arriel will send out a form for people to sign up to volunteer - Decided location for Portapotties will go by the eastside at the bowl/bleechers area and west of the pool. We will have 2 handicap, 2 regular, and 2 handwashing stations. Go Over Grant Application - Joe and Larissa Goodman came in to present the grant asking for $1,000 to go towards the Rodeo. Phil made a motion to give them the full 1,000, Nikki seconded. Unanimous vote in favor. Approve receipts for Payout - Rotary Ads - - Basketball - Discussed doing the ads, but that it isn’t really a tourist attraction so decided against it - Shadows of Elmwood - Phil made a motion to do a full page ad, Lacey seconded. Unanimous vote in favor - Downstate Tourism - Nikki made a motion to end membership with Downstate Tourism, Lacey Seconded. Unanimous vote in favor of ending the membership. Arriel will call and cancel. OTHER: - Shirts to be made before 4th of July - Polos with Logo - Possible have Laura Smith make them. Phil made a motion to pay up to $25.00 per shirt and Lacey Lewis second. Unanimous vote in favor - Laura can’t make the shirts - Nikki is going to reach out to Robyn. - Move Back to the Depot - Monthly meetings first wednesday of every month at 5:00PM Adjourn – Phil made a motion to adjourn, Nikki Seconded.
