ITEM 1-ADDITIONS, DELETIONS, CHANGES, AND APPROVAL OF THE AGENDA
Motion to approve agenda with below amendments made by Council member Koon, seconded
by Council member Terry. Passed unanimously.

ITEM 2— APPROVAL OF MINUTES:
None.
ITEM 3- PUBLIC COMMENTS
Lonnie Harrell — stated there was conflicting information about Mainstreet.
Stew Lilker— Mentioned that the shades are not open in Town Hall during the day and stated
that there are cameras in Town Hall.
Bea Koker — spoke to see that Fort White would proclaim Youth Leadership week.
ITEM 4- NEW BUSINESS
1. Mainstreet program Motion to not allow Town to spend money on Main Street

Program made by Council member Terry and seconded by Council member Koon —
passed 3-1 with Mayor Thomas voting against.
2. Decide on voting procedure for vacant council seat Motion made by Council member
-
Terry to approve voting procedure for vacant council member seats made to use Council
member Terry’s proposal as the primary means of selection and Council member
Merrick’s proposal in the case of a tie. Motion seconded by Council member Koon and
passed unanimously.
3. Town Attorney proposals Motion made by Councilmember Terry to hire new Town
—
attorney Michael Pope. Motion seconded by Council member Merricks and passed
unanimously.
Motion to release current Town attorney Lindsey Lander an 4/14/25 by Mayor Thomas
and seconded by Council member Koon. Motion pass unanimously.
4. Audio / Visual of office no motion.

5. Profit & Loss — Monthly statements — no motion.
6. Equipment (Dump truck & Backhoe) with the County Motion made by Council
—
member Koon to sign reversion agreement from Columbia County regarding dump truck
and backhoe. Motion seconded by Council member Merricks and passed unanimously.
7. Presentation on sewage Motion made by Council member Koon, to select Council
—
member Terry as the liaison on the sewage project and Mayor Thomas to assist as
necessary. Motion seconded by Council member Merricks. Motion passed unanimously.
8. Salary for new clerk Motion made by Council member Merricks to approve $40k salary
—
for Town Clerk and seconded by council member Koon. Motion pass unanimously.

Motion made by Council member Koon to adjourn the meeting and seconded by council
member Merricks. Motion passed unanimously.

minutes are recorded, but not transcribed verbatim. Persons requiring a verbatim transcript
may make arrangements with the Town Clerk to duplicate the recordings or arrange to have a
court reporter present at the meeting. The cost of duplication and/or court reporter will be
borne by the requesting party.
In accordance with Sect. 286.0105 Florida Statutes. notice is given that if a person
wishes to appeal a decision made by the Town Council with respect to any matter considered at
this meeting, they will need a record of the proceedings, and for such purpose may need to
ensure that a verbatim record of the proceeding is made, which record includes the testimony
and evidence upon which the appeal is based.
Persons with disabilities needing special accommodations to participate in this meeting
should contact the Mayor through the Town Clerk’s office no later than 4:00 PM on the Friday
prior to the meeting.
