FORTY FORT BOROUGH WORK SESSION MONDAY, OCTOBER 15, 2012 Forty Fort Borough Council held a work session on Monday, October 15, 2012 at the Forty Fort Borough Bldg., 1271 Wyoming Ave., Forty Fort with council VP Frank Michaels presiding. Mr. Michaels called the meeting to order at 7:30 PM with the following council members present: Dorothy Craig, Robert Craig, and Charles Rick Kamus. Absent were Joseph Chacke, Betty Mascelli & Karen Martinelli. Also present were Borough Manager, Barbara Fairchild & Police Chief Fred Lahovski. Mayor Boyd Hoats was absent. A presentation was given by Joe Scott of the PSAB Municipal Retirement trust regarding Pension options. Another presentation was given by Annie Keating from NRS (Northeast Recycling Solutions) regarding recycle options. Steve Simko, Creek Road, Harding and chairman of the Concerned Harding residents asked Council to consider writing a letter to the Luzerne County Zoning Board opposing the UGI Compressor Station slated for the West Wyoming area. Rob Swaback, 15 Susquehanna Ave., Forty Fort thanked Dotty Craig for her attendance at the zoning hearing for the Mericle sign at the intersection of Welles & Rutter Ave. which was denied. He also complained that after PENDOT trimming near the cross valley, a lot of debris was left and it looks terrible. In other business, the following topics were briefly discussed: Dana St. Temporary Parking Notification for residents on W. Pettebone to remove vehicles on 10/23/12 2004 Ford Crown Victoria‐Bayridge Motors did not arrange payment/transfer of vehicle. Discussion of Resolution to apply for Local Share Account Funds for Gaming to upgrade Police Dept. & Borough Building renovations Discussion of Resolution to appoint authorized representative to Berkheimer for all tax information Discussion‐RFP‐Pension Plan, Insurances Feral cat ordinance information provided to Council  It was noted that there will be a special budget meeting on Wednesday, October 24, 2012 at 5:30 PM at the Borough Building. Council adjourned to Executive Session at 9:20 PM to discuss personnel & legal issues.
