Forty Fort Borough Council Work Session Minutes April 15, 2013 The April work session of the Forty Fort Council was held on Monday, April 15, 2013 at the Forty Fort Borough Bldg., 1271 Wyoming Ave., Forty Fort, with President Joseph Chacke presiding. President Chacke called the meeting to order at 7:30 PM with the following members present: Robert Craig, Dorothy Craig, Charles Rick Kamus & Frank Michaels. Betty Mascelli, Karen Martinelli were excused. Immediately proceeding the work session, council held a public hearing regarding the Comcast Contract with the Borough. One resident was present for this meeting. Mr. Kamus spoke with council about some alternative for our leaf & yard waste materials as opposed to taking them to Earth Conservancy in Ashley, PA. Carol Seltzer spoke of application she’s received for tree removal; a workshop she will hold on April 20th & 27th, 2013 and requesting volunteers for tree planning & pruning in the borough. Chief Dan Hunsinger presented council with a report of the police dept. activities since he’s taken over as chief. During this discussion, Chief Hunsinger was given provisional permission to make a purchase of software that will enable the police department to better make collections of unpaid parking tickets thus garnering more money for the borough. Mrs. Craig reported that necessary repairs had been made to the pool by Bruce Dadurka Masonry; it was noted that there are only 7‐8 application for lifeguards and an ad will be placed in the newspaper for additional applicants. It was suggested that the communities in the West Side Cog be approached & asked for a donation of $500.00 or whatever they can afford toward the recreation dept. in exchange for their residents to receive resident rates on the pool membership fees. Mr. Chacke announced that the representative from USDA will be at the Borough on Friday, April 19, 2013 along with area dignitaries. All council & interested residents are urged to attend.
