Forty Fort Council Work Session December 16, 2013 The December work session of the Forty Fort Borough Council was held on Monday, December 16, 2013 at the Forty Fort Borough Bldg., 1271 Wyoming Ave., Forty Fort with President Joseph Chacke presiding. President Chacke called the meeting to order at 7:36 PM immediately following the special meeting of council with the following members of council present: Dorothy Craig, Robert Craig, Karen Martinelli & Frank Michaels. Betty Mascelli, Charles Rick Kamus & Mayor Boyd Hoats were absent. Also present were Manager Barbara Fairchild & Secretary Bonnie Arnone. Topics discussed were: ‐ It was reported that the recent Santa in the Park event held by the Families for Forty Fort Park was a great success with over 200 people in attendance. ‐ Ms. Fairchild told council that due to numerous lawsuits against the borough, the Public Officials & Police Liability insurances were greatly increased with a higher deductible. ‐ It was noted that a donation in the amount of $10,000.00 was made by the Nesbitt Family Charitable Foundation for repairs to the swimming pool. ‐ A discussion was held regarding the appointed positions on boards that will need to be updated and filled. It was noted that the next meeting of council would be held on Monday, January 6, 2014 with the re‐organization of council and newly elected officials swearing in will take place.
