FORTY FORT BOROUGH SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING APRIL 20, 2015 A special meeting of Forty Fort Borough Council was held on Monday, April 20, 2015 at the Forty Fort Borough Bldg., 1271 Wyoming Ave., with President Jeff McLaughlin presiding. President McLaughlin called the meeting to order at 7:30 PM with the following members of council present: Deborah Troy, Dorothy Craig, Joe Lynch, Charles Rick Kamus, Frank Michaels & Karen Martinelli, via telephone. Also present were Mayor Andy Tuzinski, Manager Barbara Fairchild & Secretary Bonnie Arnone. A moment of silence was held followed by the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. GENERAL BUSINESS: Motion by Frank Michaels to advertise the No Parking Sign Ordinance. Second by Joe Lynch. On the question: Ms. Fairchild explained that this ordinance was required by PENDOT to comply with the Highway Occupancy Permit needed for the paving of certain streets at certain locations at distances from certain intersections on River St., Rutter Avenue, Butler St., Fort St., Ransom St., Wyoming Ave., Colonial Gardens, Hughes St., and Owen St. All council was in favor of this motion. Motion passed. Motion by Mrs. Craig to contribute $75.00 toward the purchase of trees for Arbor Day Celebration. Second by Ms. Troy. On the question: The Arbor Day celebration will be held on Sunday, April 26, 2015 at 26 E. Pettebone St., the home of Shade Tree Commission member Kim Meckes. STC member, Carol Seltzer, has donated funds for the purchase of the trees. All council was in favor of this motion. Motion passed. Motion by Mr. Michaels to pay bills as presented. Second by Mrs. Craig. It was noted that these bills will be shown on the list of bills for the May regular council meeting; they just happen to have due dates prior to the date of the meeting and must be paid earlier than the meeting date to avoid late fees. At this time, 7:40 PM, council adjourned to Executive Session to discuss a Dept. of Public Works personnel issue. At 7:45 PM, council re‐convened from Executive Session.
