FORTY FORT BOROUGH SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES MONDAY, MARCH 11, 2024 Forty Fort Borough council held a Special Council meeting on Monday, March 11, 2024 at the Borough Building, 1271 Wyoming Ave., Forty Fort, PA with President, Thomas J. Murray, Jr. presiding. President Murray called the meeting to order at 6:00 PM with the following council members present: Phil Mertz, Frank Mazza, Cara Devine, David Sieminski, Kristy Dadurka & Sara Michaels. Also present were Mayor Brian Thomas, Atty. Greg Skibitski, Solicitor & Borough Manager, Bonnie Arnone. Mayor Thomas led the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag. RESIDENT’S AND TAXPAYER’S COMMENTS: Ellen Beck, Tripp Manor, stated that she would like to be on the committee to discuss ways to be able to keep the pool open. COUNCIL ACTION ITEM: Motion by Ms. Devine to approve the settlement of Robert Downs’ Workers’ compensation claim and acceptance of Robert Downs’ resignation and retirement from employment with Forty Fort Borough. Seconded by Mr. Mertz. On the question: Ms. Michaels asked why it’s stated as both retirement and resignation. Atty. Skibitski stated that this was a formality to allow Mr. Downs to remain on the Borough’s life insurance policy. All council was in favor of this motion. Motion passed. With there being no further business to discuss, a motion to adjourn was made by Mr. Sieminski and seconded by Ms. Dadurka at 6:10 PM.
