PARK-REC/TOURISM/CITY PROPERTIES/CEMETERY COMMITTEE MEETING June 18, 2025 – 5:00 PM Council Chambers, 42 N. Main Street Minutes prepared by: Christine Williamson The meeting was called to order at 5:00 pm by Christine Williamson. Roll call: Scott Feraro, Stephen Qualy, all present. Others present: Mayor Ben Adank, Jean Fugina and Ann Bohri. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Motion by Stephen, second Scott to approve the minutes of the April 29, 2025 Park/Rec Committee meeting. Motion carried and minutes were approved. The request for new nets for the basketball hoops at the park were granted and the new nets have been installed by the Public Works Crew. Discussion for the public rental of the bowling alley was discussed. Rental of the auditorium space when the upgrade has been completed was discussed. Christine is reaching out to ResNexus for possible online reservation system for reserving the bandshell, pavilion, auditorium, library, ballfield areas. 2026 Budget Requests were discussed, the committee would like to work on a plan for future vision of the park area with the new bandshell, ballfield upgrades, concession stand area, planting of new shade trees, flower garden, riverside boardwalk area, etc. Historical Society members, Ann Bohri and Jean Fugina were present and a meeting was set up to see where the Park-Rec committee can help out with membership and awareness. Scott Feraro is working on a job description for the new 2-year full-time library position we are looking to fill. Motion to adjourn by Stephen, second Scott Motion carried and the meeting adjourned at 6:50 pm.
