CITY OF FOUNTAIN VALLEY ADVISORY COMMITTEE FOR THE DISABLED MINUTES November 3, 2016 CALL TO ORDER Chairperson Ramon Galvez-Arango called the Meeting of the Advisory Committee for the Disabled to order at 6:24pm. ROLL CALL Members Present: Terry Coakley, Ramon Galvez-Arango, Lawrence Judson, Philip Nisco, Susanne Seiden and Jan Werts. Others Present: Guests; Debbie Paul. Also present; City Liaison, Nora Webb. Members Absent: Herman Ajamian, Jon Mayer, Anna Nagmay, Tom Nguyen, Gary Osterbach and Gael Traer. NO QUORUM ONGOING BUSINESS 1. Report from Subcommittee on Recreation Programs: Committee Member Jan Werts reported that the October dance was successful. She thanked all of the volunteers. It was reported that Kirby Faraone was the fill in DJ and did a fine job. It was reported that we are out of giveaways for the raffle prizes, donations are appreciated. The next dance is schedule for Friday, February 3, 2017. 2. Disability friendly business Awards Chairperson Ramon Galvez-Arango reported that staff had not received any recommendations on how to proceed with the Disability Friendly Business Awards. NEW BUSINESS 1. 2017 Calendar The committee looked over the meeting and dance calendar for 2017 and all of the dates were acceptable. Public Comments N/A Committee Comments Committee Member Terry Coakley reported that the new contact person for OCTA is Vickie Vargas.
