FRANKLIN BOARD OF ASSESSORS MEETING AT FRANKLIN MUNICIPAL BUILDING, COUNCIL CHAMBER, 355 EAST CENTRAL STREET, FRANKLIN, MASSACHUSETTS FRIDAY, MARCH 31, 2023 AT 12:00 NOON AGENDA The following is a list of matters reasonably anticipated by the Chair that may be discussed. Not all items may be discussed and other related items not listed may be raised for discussion to the extent permitted under Massachusetts General Law. A. APPROVAL OF MINUTES: Regular & Executive Sessions of February 24, 2023 and March 10, 2023. B. ADMINISTRATION, OLD BUSINESS AND NEW BUSINESS (any matters not otherwise noted in a specific category below). C. MOTOR VEHICLE EXCISE 1. MV Excise Tax Abatement Denials. D. PERSONAL PROPERTY 1. Review and vote on PP Abatement (overvaluation) Applications for FY 2023. E. BOAT EXCISE F. REAL ESTATE 1. Review and vote on Statutory RE Exemptions for FY 2023. 2. Review and vote on RE Abatement (overvaluation) Applications for FY 2023, including any applicant scheduled for a hearing. G. EXECUTIVE SESSION 1. I move that the Board vote to go into Executive Session under Purpose 7 to discuss and vote on matters that are confidential in accordance with law, such as, but not limited to abatements and exemptions (MGL Ch. 59, Sec. 60), or property income & expense disclosures (MGL Ch. 59, Sec 52B). Following Executive Session, the Board will return to Open Session.
