‭BOH MEETING MINUTES‬ ‭01/03/2024‬ ‭In attendance: Bridget Sweet, Chair; Jeffrey Harris, Vice Chair; Kim Mu-Chow, Member; Cathleen‬ ‭Liberty, Director; Ginny McNeil, Health Agent; Alisha Sullivan-Via Google Meet, Public Health Nurse;‬ ‭John Robertson, Shared Service Grant Regional Inspector; Epidemiologist Cassia Monteiro; Maureen‬ ‭Canesi, Administrative Assistant‬ ‭CALL TO ORDER: ►Chair Sweet called the meeting to order at 5:00 pm.‬ ‭APPROVAL OF MINUTES: ►December 6, 2023.‬ ‭►MOTION to Approve the December 6, 2023 meeting minutes by Harris. SECOND by Mu-Chow.‬ ‭No discussion. ►ROLL CALL VOTE: Harris-YES; MuChow-YES, Sweet-YES; ►VOTE: Yes-3,‬ ‭No-0, Absent-0.‬ ‭BOH Scheduled Meetings 2024‬ ‭The Board reviewed the meeting schedule and they agreed to remove the July 3, 2024 date unless an‬ ‭emergency warranted adding it back onto the calendar.‬ ‭Humanitarian Crisis Update‬ ‭Director Liberty updated the Board with regards to the current migrant status in town. She stated that‬ ‭there are currently 94 families in the hotel.‬ ‭A job fair will be held on January 29, 2024 for the occupants who have work visas. Other programs that‬ ‭are up and coming are a GatraGO ride share, Vaccine Clinic, Narcan Training and First Aid kits made‬ ‭available through the SAFE Coalition and children’s clothes donated by the Interfaith Community..‬ ‭Reduced Oxygen Packaging Policy‬ ‭The Board discussed the issue of the ROP Policy. Chair Sweet recommended that we require food‬ ‭establishments who want to use the ROP process to hire food consultants to prepare a HACCP Plan to‬ ‭submit to the Board of Health for approval.‬ ‭Metacomet Shared Service Grant Inspector Update‬ ‭Regional Inspector John Robertson updated the board with the Regional Inspector Report for the month‬ ‭of December, 2023.‬ ‭Metacomet Public Health Nurse Update‬ ‭Public Health Nurse Alisha Sullivan updated the board with the Public Health Report for the month of‬ ‭December, 2023.‬ ‭Metacomet Shared Service Grant Epidemiologist Update‬ ‭Epidemiologist Cassia Monteiro updated the board with the Epidemiologist Report for the month of‬ ‭December, 2023.‬ ‭CITIZENS COMMENTARY‬ ‭Steve Sherlock, Franklin Matters, stated that he would help spread the word regarding the job fair.‬ ‭ADJOURNMENT‬ ‭►MOTION to adjourn at 5:37 by Harris.
