Meeting Minutes for Tuesday, April 11th 2023; 7:30-9:00PM

VOTING ON MINUTES
● March meeting minutes were voted on
All Board members voted “yea” to approve the minutes
COLLABORATION OPPORTUNITY WITH FRANKLIN CULTURAL DISTRICT
● The group discussed the opportunity to jointly staff a booth at this June’s Strawberry
Stroll with the Franklin Cultural District Committee. Once more information about
expectations is available, the group will discuss further.
2023 FRANKLIN CULTURAL FESTIVAL
● Formal announcements via email and social media have been made about the
intermission of the Franklin Cultural Festival for 2023.
UPCOMING MEETING
● Members of the Franklin Cultural Council will meet again on May 10th, 2023.

1. Announcements - Brianna
b. Reminder about completing updated Ethics Training and submitting certificates via email to
the Town Clerk’s office - even if you completed the training in this term.
2. Voting on March meeting notes
3. FY2023 Grant/Budget Updates - Sarah
a. FCC was awarded a retroactive grant for the 2022 Cultural Festival
b. Refresher on grant reimbursement procedure - need two signatures
4. MetroWest Arts & Culture Symposium
a. Event recap!
5. Upcoming Event Collaboration with FCDC
a. The FCDC has reached out to the FCC about a collaboration during this year’s Strawberry
Stroll, to be held on June 9th. Participation would involve staffing a booth for the duration of the
event.
6. 2023 Cultural Festival
a. Discussion of how the FCC will share the decision about the intermission of the Franklin
Cultural Festival for 2023.
