● Sarah Cronin, Swati Rao, Pushpa Jangareddi, Jean Wolf, Lauren Sanford, John Ristaino
VOTING ON MINUTES
● August meeting minutes were voted on
All Board members voted “yea” to approve the minutes
INTRODUCTIONS
● John Ristaino will be stepping in as the new dedicated chair of the Franklin Cultural
Council
FY23 GRANT/BUDGET UPDATES
● Grant recipients have until January 2024 to submit their reimbursements from
programming held during the 2023 fiscal year.
● The Council discussed a grant extension for the Middle School Visiting Author.
HARVEST FESTIVAL BOOTH
● The group discussed the upcoming Harvest Festival on September 30th, and how a booth
will be staffed. The group finalized sign-ups and discussed logistics for the day.
UPCOMING MEETING
● Members of the Franklin Cultural Council will meet next on Wednesday, October 11th at
7:30pm.

b. Welcoming new Board Members - Carol Fletcher, Jean Wolf, John Ristaino
c. Brief overview of the function of the FCC, and what the rest of the calendar year
will look like: Grant Applications, Discussion of Applications and Awarding of
grants for FY2024
2. Voting on August meeting notes
3. FY2023 Grant/Budget Updates - Sarah
a. Reimbursements continue to come in
b. Grant extension discussion for Middle School Visiting Author
c. Amount of grant money able to be allocated for FY24
4. 2024 Grant Application Discussion
a. The application for FY24 grants opened on September 1st, 2023
b. Application closes on October 17th, 2023.
c. After the application closes, the FCC will begin the review process, to determine
which applicants will receive funding for the 2024 fiscal year.
5. Harvest Festival 2023 Tabling
a. Discussion of staffing this table for the duration of the event.
