The meeting was held at the Municipal Building Training Room, E Central Street, with
Ali Rheaume participating by Zoom.
Appointees/members present: Robert Brown, Matt Keras , Charleen Belcher, Roberta
Trahan, Jayson Joyce, Alan Earls, Maureen Brennan

The Meeting came to order at approximately 7 pm
ANNOUNCEMENTS FROM THE CHAIR
• APPROVAL OF MINUTES
1. The minutes of Dec. 18, 2025 were approved.
• SUBCOMMITTEE REPORTS
1. Communication
Alan Earls reported that the subcommittee elected Julie Cornoni chair and Alan
Earls vice chair/clerk. There was a final review of the comm/branding part of the budget,
including a decision to keep the logo in house (Rheaume and Cornoni will tackle). In
March they will provide a draft to the full committee, leaving April for tweaks and May for
a ‘soft launch’ and to order logo products.
The sub committee agreed to use a Wix site and explore online store options.
Constant contact will be adopted with a single "Seat" to be shared by the sub
committee. Reviewed brand discovery survey and found it to be a good start for further
branding work. Earls will work on a general plan and cadence for media release and
communication with townspeople.
2. Events. Trahan, Belcher, Brown, Joyce, Mulligan and Pellegri had first meeting
ideas included:
• Ringing of church bells, 250 times on March 2, 2028
• an interfaith gathering on March 2, 2028 {closest Sunday in 2028 is Mar 5)
• Do donor event late in 2026 to promote 250th (Maybe Dean College?)
• opening gala Sept 2026
• a 250th parade Sept. 16, 2028 with fife and drum corps
• golf tournament in June 2028
• Family and friends picnic at Beaver Pond, July 2028
• Closing gala in early Nov. 2028, ideally in town, if not, perhaps at Lake Pearl.
[Easton reportedly had 3000 attendees at their closing gala.]
• FY26 BUDGET FINALIZATION
The budget was approved. It was also voted that $755 not previously allocated
be applied as a deposit for the Gala.
• INVITING A GUEST SPEAKER
1. It was agreed that Dave Clifton, chair of both Sharon 250 and Easton 300
celebrations will come to next meeting, in February
ADJOURN
