Town of Franklin Zoning Board of Appeals The following notice will be published in the Milford Daily Newspaper on Thursday December 19, 2024 and again on Thursday December 26, 2024 FRANKLIN ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE Notice is hereby given that the Town of Franklin Zoning Board of Appeals will hold a public/remote hearing on January 2, 2025 at 7:30pm via Zoom Platform. Time: 7:30pm Applicant: Timothy and Holly Firestine Address of Subject Property: 279 Pleasant Street (Map 262, Lot 096) Zoning District: SFR-III Petition Type: Variance and Special Permit Zoning By-Law Sections: 185-19 B. (2), (4), (5) & 185-19C. 185-40D (I) (i) Reason for Denial: Applicant is seeking to construct a 16’x 26’ detached pergola that is 9.5’ from the side line setback where 10.7’ is required, in addition the pool equipment is 0.7’ from the side line where 10’ is required and the distance between the pool and pergola is 5.0’ where 10’ is required. Also seeking to increase the impervious area of the lot to 16.2% where 15% is allowed. The building permit is denied without a Variance and Special Permit from the ZBA. An Appeal from the decision of the Board of Appeals may be made by any person aggrieved pursuant to MGL Chap. 40A, Section 17 as amended, within twenty (20) days after the date of the filing of the notice of decision with the City Clerk.
