GERLACH, WARD TWO VACANT, WARD THREE Council Chambers, 715 Princess Anne Street Fredericksburg, Virginia 22401 Special Work Session February 4, 2025 The Council of the City of Fredericksburg, Virginia, met in special session on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, beginning at 4:00 p.m. at the Police Headquarters in the conference room. City Council Present. Mayor Kerry P. Devine. Vice-Mayor Charlie L. Frye, Jr., Council members Jonathan A. Gerlach, Jason N. Graham (via phone and arrived at 4:55), Jannan W. Holmes and Dr. Will B. Mackintosh. Others Present. Clerk of Council Tonya B. Lacey. Close Session. Closed meeting under Code of Virginia Section 2.2-3711(A)(1): interviews may be conducted with prospective candidates and further discussion concerning appointment to the Ward 3 City Councilor vacancy will be conducted on February 4, 2025, between 1 & 9 pm in the Police Department conference room. Motion to Reconvene the Closed Session. Councilor Gerlach made a motion to reconvene the closed session of January 28; motion was seconded by Councilor Holmes and passed by the following recorded votes. Ayes (5) Councilors Devine, Frye, Gerlach, Holmes and Mackintosh. Nays (0). Return to Open Meeting Approved. Upon the motion of Councilor Gerlach; seconded by Councilor Graham and passed by the following recorded votes, Council approved a return to an open meeting. Ayes (6) Councilors Devine, Frye, Gerlach, Graham, Holmes and Mackintosh. Nays (0). Resolution 25-06, Approved, Certifying Closed Meeting. Upon the motion Councilor Gerlach, approved Resolution 25-06 certifying the closed meeting; 22413 Special Work Session 02/04/24 seconded by Councilor Graham and passed by the following recorded votes. Ayes (6) Councilors Devine, Frye, Gerlach, Graham, Holmes and Mackintosh. Nays (0) After certification was voted upon the Clerk reminded the Council that they were supposed to certify in open session. Adjournment.
