Roberson,Vice Chairperson Cathie Fisher Braman, Secretary FINAL MINUTES FROM MARCH 12, 2019 BOARD MEETING 1. Meeting called to order at 4:35 p.m. In attendance: Chair Rodriguez, Vice Chair Roberson, Director Hoffman, and Secretary Braman. 2. Approval of Agenda: Vice Chair Roberson motioned to accept the Agenda with one change – the reorganization of the Board. Seconded by Chair Rodriguez. Passed unanimously. Reorganization of the Board The Board was reorganized as follows: Chair: Rene Rodriguez Vice-Chair: Rob Roberson Secretary: Cathie Fisher Braman 3. OLD BUSINESS A. Acceptance of the Minutes Chair Rodriguez motioned to accept the February 5, 2019 minutes with changes Vice Chair Roberson seconded. Passed unanimously. 4. Public Session Public comment opened at 5:10 p.m. No one present for Public Comment. 5. NEW BUSINESS Page 2. A. DIRECTOR’S REPORT Vice Chair Roberson made a motion to accept the Director’s report, which is attached. Chair Rodriguez seconded. Passed unanimously. B. VEBA Meeting Report 1. Vice Chair Roberson thought there was not enough EB information. 2. The First North Central District meeting will include 21 localities in September. 3. Barbara Tabb is the new President. 4. EB’s are encouraged to include local Representatives in their public mtgs. 5. EB needs to consider City planning when looking for new precincts. C. POLLPAD Prompt verbiage and System Options will be discussed at the Work Session on Friday, March 15 at 9 a.m. Discussion of Oath signage, which will be made clear at the Work Session. Power strips will be needed on the tables with the PollPads. D. SIGNAGE All set for the new polling location at Walker Grant. Director Hoffman presented a map of the area with placement for the campaigns. Chair Rodriguez made a motion to accept the map, seconded by Vice Chair Roberson. Passed unanimously. BALLOTS Discussion needs to be put off until all candidates are certified. Quantity to order will be discussed at the April 9 Board meeting. E. DISCUSSION OF ELECTION OFFICERS No new applications. Discussion of new placement of Officers in Precinct 101. F. FORMS AND PROCEDURES Will be discussed at the Work Session G. CLOSED SESSION No closed session convened.
