Meeting called to order at 3.05 p.m. In attendance: Chair Rodriguez, Vice Chair Roberson, Director Hoffman, Assistant Herzog and Secretary Braman. 2. Closed Session: Time In: 3:06 p.m. Upon a motion by Electoral Board Member Braman and seconded by Electoral Board member Roberson, and passed by a vote of the Electoral Board, the Electoral Board went into closed session pursuant to Section 2.2-3711 (A)(1) of the code of Virginia in consideration of Officer of Election appointment for the May 5, 2002 and June 9, 2020 elections; and security for these elections. Coming Out: 4:18 p.m. Certification: Upon a motion by Vice Chair Roberson and seconded by Secretary Braman and passed by affirmative roll call vote in open session, it was certified that only public business matters lawfully exempted from open meeting requirement and only such public business matters as were identified in the motion by which the closed session was convened, were heard, discussed or considered in the closed session of the Electoral Board. Chair Rodriguez made a motion to ratify our decision to notify the state of our plan to have one polling place (Dorothy Hart Community Center) for the May and June elections due to the emergency situation of COVID-19. Seconded by Vice Chair Roberson. Passed unanimously. Chair Rodrigues made a motion to appoint the following as Officers of Election for the May 5 and June 9 election: Chief: Scott Vezina Asst.
