NOTICE City of Fredericksburg Electoral Board will meet to administer their duties regarding the August 4, 2026 Republican Primary Election August 4, 2026, 4:30am-10:00 pm: For the administration of their Election Day duties. August 5, 2026, 12:00 pm: In the Office of the General Registrar and Director of Elections at 601 Caroline Street, Suite 500, for the purpose of canvassing the votes from election day for all precincts, results from absentee by mail and absentee by person. August 10, 2026, 10:00 am: In the Office of the General Registrar and Director of Elections at 601 Caroline Street, Suite 500, for the purpose of the Provisional Canvass of Votes in a limited open session meeting. Immediately following the Provisional Canvass, the Canvass of the post-election vote will occur. Once convened, the Electoral Board will remain in session, and will recess from time-to-time, for a date and time certain, to complete the requirements of the election and to properly conduct and conclude other business required by the Code of the Commonwealth or the State Department of Elections, in finalizing the election, the fiscal year, and any old or unfinished business from this and prior meetings. Portions of this meeting – beginning Tuesday, August 4, 2026, until their final adjournment – may include Closed Sessions as allowed by VFOIA §2.2-3711(A)(1, 7 & 8) and/or §24.2- 653.
