AIRPORT ADVISORY COMMITTEE Meeting Minutes April 21, 2017 1. Meeting called to order with Open Meeting announcement. Meeting was called to order at 8:15 A.M. 2. Roll call. Board Members Present: Ron Spahni, Robert Steenblock, Jennifer Weiss-Assman, Bill Dugan, Cecilia Harry, Brad Blum, Tom Randall, Mike Kempenar Guests: Mike Kuhns, Jim Kjeldgaard, Greg Kjeldgaard, Brian Newton, David Goedeken 3. Approval of the March 17, 2017 meeting minutes. Motion by Jennifer Weiss-Assman, seconded by Brad Blum. Motion was approved by a vote of the members. 4. Terminal Master Plan project update and discussion. The City Council has approved the award of contract for the Terminal Master Plan Project to Davis Design of Lincoln. Staff has been coordinating with Davis Design schedule a kick off meeting to begin the planning phase of the project. The initial meeting will be held at City Hall in the next few weeks. Staff intends to invite Anna Lannin from the Nebraska Department of Aeronautics to this meeting. 5. Maintenance Items a. Pavement rehab apron project. The City has a contractor scheduled to apply a seal coat to the Terminal Apron area. The work will be accomplished this summer. Members present suggested dates to avoid because of scheduled airport events, this information will be passed on to the contractor. 6. Discussion of 23rd Street Viaduct Goedeken reported that City Staff has been working with the Nebraska Department of Roads and the City’s Engineering Consultant to coordinate the completion of the Environmental Phase of the 23rd Street Viaduct Project. After the City has an approved Environmental Document there will be public hearing held to generate input from the public. At that point the decision would be made to move forward to final design of the construction documents. 7. Discuss Hangar Door Replacement  Goedeken reported that bids have been received for a new door to replace the wind damaged door on Hangar P-3. The work is currently being scheduled. 8. Adjournment. Meeting was adjourned at 8:35. Agenda posted at the Municipal Building and distributed to the Mayor and Board Members on April 19, 2017. The official current copy is available at City Hall, 400 East Military, City Planning Department Office. The Board reserves the right to go into Executive Session when necessary. A copy of the Open Meeting Law is posted at the Airport terminal building for review by the public. The Board reserves the right to adjust the order of items on this agenda.
