Airport Advisory Committee Minutes of September 20, 2019 8:15 a.m. Fremont Municipal Airport Terminal 1203 W 23rd Street, Fremont, NE 68025 1. Meeting called to order with Open Meetings Act announcement. Chairman Bob Steenblock called the meeting to order at 8:15am and made note of the Open Meetings Act posted on the wall in the terminal meeting room. 2. Roll call. Committee members present: Ron Spahni, Bill Dugan, Jennifer Weiss- Assmann, Bob Steenblock, Mike McGillick, Eric Johnson, Tom Randall, and Dave Monke Guests: Jim Kjeldgaard, Greg Kjeldgaard, Steve Landholm, Ron Vlach, and Tammy McKeighan, and Brian Newton 3. Approval of the August 16, 2019 meeting minutes. It was noted that the minutes should reflect that Tom Randall attended the meeting, Brad Blum did not attend, and that Bob Steenblock should be listed under board members, while Ron Vlach should be listed as a guest. A motion was made by Dugan and seconded and McGillick to approve the minutes as amended. Motion carried 8-0 by roll call vote. 4. Terminal Master Plan project update and discussion. The automated weather observing system (AWOS) is scheduled to be moved on September 23 th and may be out of service for three or four days. Staff will be working to start the planning for the new terminal building, an update to the airport layout plan, and possibly new hangar using the State’s revolving loan program. 5. Discussion of maintenance items. McGillick noted that the roof was still leaking in his hangar. Newton said he would have the street department look at it again. Jim Kjeldgaard said the gear boxes in hangars #16 and #23 were making a noise. Several members asked about wildlife control and asked if a representative from the Nebraska Game and Parks could help with control measures. 6. Adjournment.
