AIRPORT ADVISORY COMMITTEE Meeting Minutes: November 20, 2020 1. Meeting called to order with Open Meeting announcement. Meeting was called to order at 8:15 A.M. Open Meeting Act is posted on the wall of the Airport Terminal, the Act Poster was pointed out to those in attendance. 2. Roll call. Board Members Present: Bill Dugan, Dave Monke, Jennifer Weiss-Assman, Robert Steenblock, Ron Spahni, Tom Randall, Eric Johnson, Alison Adams Guests: David Goedeken, Jim Kjeldgaard, Greg Kjeldgaard, Brian Newton, Steve Landholm, Ron Vlach, Ken Cos, Mark Jensen, Mike Kempenar 3. Approval of the October 16th, 2020 meeting minutes. Motion by Ron Spahni and seconded by Bill Dugan, to approve the October 16th, 2020 minutes, motion passed by vote of members, (all voting yes on role call vote) 4. Update on Apron and Terminal Projects. Staff reported on the status of the Apron and Terminal Projects. The Apron Project has been completed and bids were opened for the Terminal Project. 5. Review and recommend Terminal Bids for construction. Staff reported the results of the bid opening for the Terminal Project. Eight bids were received with Ronco Construction being the apparent low bidder. Results of the bids with be taken to the City Council for their approval and award at the November 24th Meeting. The low bid for the project was $1,667,000.00. Motion by Bill Dugan and seconded by Tom Randall, to accept Ronco’s bid and recommend to the City Council to award the contract, motion passed by vote of members, (all voting yes on role call vote) 6. Runway Declared Distance Discussion. The Board joined a zoom conference with the NDA to discuss the declared distance issues of the Fremont Airport. Those present from the NDA were Anna Lannin, and Ann Richart. Along with Diane Hofer of Olsson Associtates. Ms Hofer explained to the Board the reasons for the declared distances as they exist. 7. Discussion of current utilization of the new Apron. Board discussed the status and future use of the newly constructed apron. It was noted that signs need to be posted at the apron. 8. Discussion of maintenance items. Discussed issues with roof leakage in the hangars. 9. Adjournment. Motion by Alison Adams, and seconded by Jennifer Weiss-Assman, to adjourn, motion passed by vote of members, (all voting yes on role call vote) Meeting was adjourned at 8:45 A.M..

The agenda was distributed to the Mayor, City Council, and Advisory Committee members on November 16th, 2020. A copy of the Open Meeting Law is posted at the Airport terminal building for review by the public. The Board reserves the right to adjust the order of items on this agenda. Approval of the September 18, 2020 meeting minutes. Motion by Jennifer Weiss-Assman and seconded by Tom Randall, to approve the September 18, 2020 minutes, motion passed by vote of members, (all voting yes on role call vote) 13. Update on Apron and Terminal Projects. Staff reported the project has been completed and in the process of finagling out with the contractor Davis Design continues to work on the Terminal building design, and is scheduled to be out for bids in the next couple weeks. 14. Discussion of maintenance items. Discussed issues with roof leakage and door maintenance in the hangars. 15. Adjournment.
