Background: The Citizens Advisory Review Committee has met on an ‘as needed’ basis since the creation of the committee. With the influx of applications, staff is recommending the committee set a regular meeting time to improve efficiencies in the application process. Staff is recommending that all applications be due by the 15th of each month and that the Citizens Advisory Review Committee would meet the first week of each month on a day and time that the committee sets. This will allow time for staff to review the applications, publicize the committee meetings, committees to meet and review, and have the recommendations ready to take to the first City Council meeting of each month. If no applications are received, then the committee will be notified that there is no meeting that month.
