Library Board

December 17, 2018 Board President Larry Jirsak called the meeting to order at 3:30 p.m. in the library auditorium. Roll Call The following members were present: Larry Jirsak, Earl Underwood, Shari Kment, Lori Dahl & Mandy Ostdiek. Also present was Library Director Walker, City Administrator Brian Newton, Assistant City Administrator Shane Wimer, Director of Finance Jody Sanders and Senior Office Associate Tracy Parr. Tracy will be recording the meeting minutes. Notice of Meeting and Agenda The meeting was preceded by publicized notice in the Fremont Tribune and the agenda displayed in the municipal building, online at www.fremontne.gov/library and distributed. A copy of the open meeting law is posted continually for public inspection and is located near the entrance of the library auditorium. Reading of Minutes City Administrator Brian Newton said that the City Attorney recommended that we not take any action on the November 19, 2018 minutes and table the approval of the minutes until the January 21st Board Meeting. Unfinished Business 1. Discuss Trust Funds with Jody Sanders, Director of Finance. Director Sanders discussed in detail the three library trust funds: Meyers, Tiegler, and Wiysel. No action was taken.. 2. Library Handbook Review. Tabled until January 21st meeting. Board member Underwood made a motion to table it until the next meeting and Board Member Kment seconded it. Unanimous. New Business Executive session was not called because the City Attorney was not present for discussion item. Reports With no further business, motion to adjourn was made at 4:30 p.m. with Board Member Underwood making the motion and Board Member Dahl seconding it. Carried.
