Request for use of Christensen Field by Ginger Rosenthal for Music Festival on September 28 - 29, 2019 for Dodge County Flood Relief Fundraiser. 6. Request for Fee Waiver by Ginger Rosenthal for use of Christensen Field for Music Festival on September 28 - 29, 2019 for Dodge County Flood Relief Fundraiser. 7. Request for use of Ronin Pool by Fremont High School Swim Team for summer workouts. 8. Request for use of Clemmons Park by the Fremont YMCA for Boot Camps. 9. Request for use of various parks for yoga classes. 10. Request for use of Ronin Pool on June 8, 2019 for FAST Swim Meet. 11. Recreation Report - Orientation under way - Slow Pitch Softball has started - Baseball/Church league softball to start in June - Pools set to get filled this week 12. Next Meeting - Tuesday, June 4, 2019, Christensen Field Meeting Room. 13. Adjournment Agenda posted at the Municipal Building and distributed to the Mayor, City Council and Park Board on May 6, 2019. A copy of the Open Meeting Law is posted for review by the public.  MINUTES OF PARKS & RECREATION BOARD MEETING Tuesday, April 2, 2019 7:00pm - Meeting Room of City Auditorium - 925 N Broad ST PRESENT: Dan Boschult, Troy Brown, Dian Christensen Hillis, Wendy Eairleywine, Connie Giese, Kim Koski, Tammy McKeightan, Dan Moran, Scott Schaller, Nate Schwanke. 1. Call to Order - Meeting convened at 7:00pm. The agenda displayed at City Hall, 400 E Military and was distributed to the Mayor, City Council and Park Board on March 29, 2019 and is open to the public. The open meeting law is posted continually for public inspection. 2. Roll Call - 4 present, Prince, Washburn absents. 3. Reading of the Park & Recreation Board Minutes of February, 2019 Meeting - Motion was made by Christensen Hillis, seconded by Giese to dispense with the reading of the minutes and approve as sent. Motion carried. 4. Consider User Agreement for use of Christensen Field Soccer Complex with the Fremont Soccer Club. Motion was made by Eairleywine, seconded by Christensen Hillis to approve the Agreement and forward on to City Council for final approval. Motion carried. 5. Consider request to purchase wrestling mats for adult recreation use. Discussion was held regarding the potential purchase of mats for various recreation/fitness use. Potential programming and location will continued to be explored. No action taken at this time. 6. Request for use of Clemmons Park Dog Park and Shelter by FurEver Home Inc. for Bark in the Park event (Date yet to be determined). Motion was made by Eairleywine, seconded by Giese to approve and forward to City Council for final approval. Motion carried. 7. Request for use of JCF Park and shelter by Church of the Nazarene on Saturday, April 13, 2019 for a Community Easter Egg Hunt. Motion was made by Eairleywine, seconded by Christensen Hillis to approve and forward to City Council for final approval. Motion carried. 8. Request for use of JCF Park and shelter by RTG Medical on Friday, June 7, 2019 for Community Picnic. This will be a light-hearted, family friendly event with free food, live music, kid's activities and a beer garden. Motion was made by Christensen Hillis, seconded by Giese to approve and forward to City Council for final approval. Motion carried. 9. Request for use of Johnson Park Trail and shelter by Phi Omega Sorority on Saturday, May 4, 2019 to host a 5K fundraiser for playground at Johnson Park. Motion made by Christensen Hillis, seconded by Giese to approve and forward to City Council for final approval. Motion carried. 10. Director's Update: a. Summer sign-ups are underway. b. Interviewing and filling summer positions. c. Revising orientation materials/schedules. d. Crews helping with flood clean-up as needed. e. Kiwanians continue to fundraise for installation of the playground equipment. f. Restroom renovation at senior center nearing completion. g. Design & Development Phase of City Auditorium renovation completed. h. Downtown Christmas decorations are down and stored in 40' metal container. i. Arbor Day Celebration will be Friday, April 26, at 10am at Miller Park. J. I have been meeting regularly with SK8 Fremont group to discuss potential new skate park. This is still in the discussion phase only. Community meeting will follow. 11. Next Meeting - Tuesday, May 7, 2019 12. Adjournment - Motion was made by Eairleywine, seconded by Christensen Hillis to adjourn. Motion carried. Meeting adjourned at 7:24pm.
