CITY OF FREMONT UTILITY AND INFRASTRUCTURE BOARD September 13, 2022 - 4:00 P.M. A meeting of the Utility and Infrastructure Board was held on September 13, 2022 at 4:00 p.m. in the 2nd floor meeting room at 400 East Military, Fremont, Nebraska. The meeting was preceded by publicized notice in the Fremont Tribune and the agenda displayed in the Municipal Building. The meeting was open to the public. A continually current copy of the agenda was available for public inspection at the office of the City Administrator, 400 East Military. The agenda was distributed to the Utility and Infrastructure Board on September 9, 2022 and posted, along with the supporting documents, on the City’s website. A copy of the open meeting law is posted continually for public inspection. ROLL CALL Roll call showed Board Members Bolton, Sawtelle, Greunke, Wiese, and Dinkins present. 5 members present, 0 absent. Others in attendance included Angie Olson, Exec. Assist; Mayor Joey Spellerberg, Troy Schaben, Asst. Utility Gen. Mgr., Jeff Shanahan, Utility Gen. Mgr.; Dan Reznicek, Plant Supr.; Dan Goebel, Finance Director; Al Kaspar, Dir. Elect. Engr.; Keith Kontor, Water and Wastewater Supt.; and Lottie Mitchell, Dir. Cust. Service. CONSENT AGENDA Moved by Member Bolton and seconded by Member Greunke to approve items 3 and 4 (Minutes from August 30, 2022 and Accounts Payable through September 13, 2022). Ayes: Wiese, Bolton, Sawtelle, Dinkins, Greunke. Motion carried 5-0. REGULAR AGENDA: Consider Renewal of Care and Share Program Agreement. Mitchell gave overview. Moved by Member Wiese and Seconded by Member Bolton to recommend City Council approve renewal of Care and Share Program Agreement. Ayes: Greunke, Sawtelle, Bolton, Wiese. Dinkins abstained. Motion carried 4-0 with 1 abstention. Consider Bid for Purchase of Ductile Iron or Steel Utility Poles. Kaspar gave overview. Moved by Member Dinkins and Seconded by Member Wiese to recommend City Council approve bid for purchase of ductile iron or steel utility poles from TAPP, Inc. in the amount of $136,360.00. Ayes: Dinkins, Bolton, Sawtelle, Wiese, Greunke. Motion carried 5-0. General Manager Update. Shanahan gave energy supply update including coal shipments. ADJOURNMENT Moved by Member Wiese and Seconded by Member Dinkins to adjourn the meeting at 4:27pm. Ayes: Sawtelle, Wiese, Dinkins, Greunke, Bolton. Motion carried 5-0. 1
