The City Council met in special session in the Council Chamber, City Hall, on the
date and time above written to discuss the following item:
ID#15-998 WORKSHOP on the Citywide Development Code
The above workshop was presented to Council by Development and
Resources Management Assistant Director Zack. Mr. Zack announced that

the workshop would provide a broad overview of the Development Code
update and then focus on Single Family Residential applications.
Councilmembers discussed incentives for water efficient landscaping and
options for infill and enhanced streetscapes. While discussing enhanced
streetscapes Councilmember Soria suggested staff add, "wood, pre-cast
concrete, tile or similar materials" as cladding options. Councilmember
Soria also requested to meet with staff to discuss infill.
Mr. Zack announced the next workshop would be on Thursday, November
5th and would cover the other parts of the Development Code update
including mixed use, commercial, office, industrial and employment district
applications. He also announced that the public hearing regarding the
Development Code update would begin on Thursday, November 12 at 5:30
P.M. and was expected to carry over to November 19th.

These minutes were approved by unanimous vote of the City Council, with
Councilmember Soria absent, during the December 3, 2015 Council Meeting.
