File ID17-1451 (1-F) Resolution -539th Amendment to the Master Fee
Schedule (MFS) adjusting various fees. There is was a slight problem with
the MFS-the language on page 3 on Exhibit A-under Landing Fee, minimum
per landing, needs to read 10,000 pounds or less, not 1,000 pounds. File
ID17-1473 (1-H) Bill No. B-59 Granting a non-exclusive roll off franchise

Councilmember Caprioglio spoke regarding Fresno Discovery Center and
the unveiling of two new dinosaur replica, Sierra Mondre picnic, National
Red Ribbon week at Finland Elementary School, November 4, 2017 Fresno
State Bulldog game, congratulated Houston Astro's on the winning of the
World Series.
Councilmember Brandau also congratulated Houston Astro's on their
winning of the World Series.
Vice President Soria attended the Annual Resource Fair, Fresno and
Central Unified State of the Education events and announced Fresno FAX
restructure and upcoming workshop at Fresno City College, November 4,
2017 at 11:00AM.

Councilmember Chavez asked staff about AB1522 and if the City of Fresno
was using the expanded definition of family or was that something internal
that City of Fresno determine when there are negotiations and when can we
expend language to be used for the groups. Councilmember Chavez
continued to ask if AB1522 gives municipal parameters or is this something
mandated. Staff responded with yes, its mandated for 6 months and we are
in compliance. Coucilmember Chavez and Vice President Soria asked to
include the expanded amount of sick leave be added and brought back to
the next Council meeting for approval. Councilmember Chavez asked to
meet with staff.
On motion of Councilmember Chavez, seconded by Vice President
Soria, that the above Action Item be continued. The motion carried by

The Fresno City Council welcomes you to City Council Chambers, located in City

The Council meeting can be viewed live on Comcast Channel 96 and AT&T Channel

PROCESS: For each matter considered by the Council there will first be a staff
presentation followed by a presentation from the involved individuals, if present.
Testimony from those in attendance will then be taken. All testimony will be limited to
three minutes per person. If you would like to speak fill out a Speaker Request Form
available from the City Clerk’s Office and in the Council Chambers. The three lights
on the podium next to the microphone will indicate the amount of time remaining for
the speaker.
The green light on the podium will be turned on when the speaker begins. The yellow
light will come on with one minute remaining. The speaker should be completing the
testimony by the time the red light comes on and tones sound, indicating that time
has expired. A countdown of time remaining to speak is also displayed on the large
screen behind the Council dais.
No documents shall be accepted for Council review unless they are submitted to the
City Clerk at least 24 hours prior to the Council Agenda item being heard.
Following is a general schedule of items for Council consideration and action. The
City Council may consider and act on an agenda item in any order it deems
appropriate. Actual timed items may be heard later but not before the time set on
agenda. Persons interested in an item listed on the agenda are advised to be present
throughout the meeting to ensure their presence when the item is called.
