Roll Call Present 4 - Chairperson Michael McDonald, Board Member Lynda Snauffer, Board Member Al Smith, and Board Member Dean Eller Absent 1 - Vice Chair Jack Tracy Board Counsel, Dan McCloskey, was present and represented the Board. Acting Secretary Designee, Karnell Grijalva, was also present. 2. Approval of Minutes A. October 11, 2017 On motion of Board Member Smith, seconded by Board Member Snauffer, that the October 11, 2017 minutes be approved. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: 4 - Chairperson McDonald, Board Member Snauffer, Board Member Smith and Board Member Eller Absent: 1 - Vice Chair Tracy 3. Old Business A. Closed Session - Continued Public Discipline/Dismissal/Release [Pursuant to Government Code Section 54954] City of Fresno ***Subject to Mayoral Veto Page 1 Civil Service Board Meeting Minutes October 25, 2017 Jennifer DeRuosi, Deputy City Attorney, was present on behalf of the Appointing Authority. The Appellant nor Representative was present. Due to family medical issue of the Appointing Authority Representative, Jennifer DeRuosi presented to the Board a Joint Stipulation and Order for Continuance with requested date of January 10, 2018 to continue the Hearing on Appeal. The Board approved. 4. Unscheduled Public Communications None Members of the public may address the Civil Service Board regarding items that are not listed on the Agenda and within the subject matter jurisdiction of the Board. Each person is limited to a three (3) minute presentation. Board action on unscheduled items, if any, shall be limited to referring the item to staff for a report and possible scheduling on a future Civil Service Board agenda. None 5.
