ROLL CALL Present 3 - Chairperson Michael McDonald, Linda Moreno, and Jack Tracy Board Counsel, Jim Sanchez was present and represented the Board. Also present were: Acting Secretary Designee, Yvonne Teixeira, Senior Deputy Attorney I, Jennifer DeRuosi, Deputy City Attorney II, Mao Lee and Assistant Director of Personnel Services, Marissa Gonzales. APPROVAL OF MINUTES ID 21-812 October 21, 2021 On motion of Vice Chair Tracy, seconded by Board Member Moreno, that the above Action Item be approved. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: 3 - Chairperson McDonald, Vice Chair Tracy and Board Member Moreno NEW BUSINESS The Board convened into closed Session at 9:00AM. ID 21-813 Closed Session - Review of Director Removal From Eligibility List [Pursuant to Fresno Municipal Code Section 3-249] On motion of Vice Chair Tracy, seconded by Board Member Moreno, that the decision of the Appointing Authority be upheld. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: 3 - Chairperson McDonald, Vice Chair Tracy and Board Member Moreno The inquiry of Director Removal from Eligibility List began at 9:01AM. City of Fresno ***Subject to Mayoral Veto Page 2 Civil Service Board Meeting Minutes - Final October 29, 2021 Present on behalf of the City were Assistant Director of Personnel Services, Marissa Gonzales, Senior Deputy City Attorney I, Jennifer DeRuosi, Deputy City Attorney I, Mao Lee and HR Manager, Sandra Chavez Martin. The applicant was present as well as his Attorney, Brandi Harper. Following party summaries, the Board entered Executive Session at 9:07AM to deliberate the matter. The Board reconvened into Closed Session at 9:13AM. At 9:14AM the Board reconvened into Open Session and the decisions of the Board were announced in accordance with the Brown Act.
