CALL TO ORDER
Chairman, Suzy Escalante called the Animal Advisory Committee Meeting into
order at 5:38 P.M. on Thursday, June 25th, 2026.

REGULAR AGENDA
2. Consider and act upon the approval of April 23, 2026, Animal Advisory
Committee meeting minutes.
Committee members requested last-minute corrections to the April 23rd
minutes.
Corrections will be incorporated and revised minutes will be reviewed and
considered for approval at the August Animal Advisory Committee meeting.
3. Consider and act upon the approval of May 13, 2026, Animal Advisory
Committee meeting minutes.
Committee Member, Chris Fields moved to approve Consider and act upon the
approval of May 13, 2026, Animal Advisory Committee meeting minutes. Vice-
Chairman, Jesse Ringness seconded the motion.

4. Discuss and confirm plans for the Paws and Stripes event on July 03, 2026.
Animal Advisory Committee Members reviewed event logistics including race
flow, prize distribution, partner schedules, general and booth set up. Committee
members asked for clarification on individual roles and responsibilities.
Members discussed need to be flexible to Play Frisco needs and that
sponsoring partner would confirm final event logistics with Play Frisco prior to
event day.
5. Discuss the recent Animal Advisory Committee's participation in the Frisco
Library Community Science Night identifying areas of success and improvement
for future events.
Positive feedback from committee members that attended the Frisco Library
Community Science Night regarding the overall event. Members discussed the
activities at their specific sponsored booth that went well and anticipated adding
new stations for future sponsored booths at next year’s event.

6. Discuss options for future events and partnership opportunities with the Frisco
Library.
Committee will pause participation in library events until September.
• Revisit partnership opportunities at the August meeting.
• Begin planning for potential October involvement.
7. Discuss potential social media posts and Focal Point submissions.
Upcoming Social Media Topics:
• Tick, flea & mosquito prevention – July
• Immunization Month – August
• Check Your Chip Day - August 15th
• Fire safety & emergency pet kits - September

8. Discuss potential future agenda topics.
Potential topics identified for upcoming meetings:
• Paws and Stripes event recap
• Fire Department Safety Town Partnership (Fall)
• Frisco Library "Read to Rover" - For September or October
• Adopt-a-thon participation & planning
• Conversations with veterinarians on microchipping - to be Agenda Item
#1 in August

Members of the City Council may or may not be present.
Pursuant to City of Frisco Ordinance Number 19-10-87 each member of the public wishing to address the Animal Advisory Committee
shall be entitled to speak for up to five (5) minutes, unless ten (10) or more members of the public are present to speak on a single
agenda item, in which case the Animal Advisory Committee may, by majority vote, reduce the allotted time from five (5) minutes to
three (3) minutes per speaker to ensure that as many people as possible have an opportunity to speak, subject to the requirements of
other law.
NOTICE OF ASSISTANCE AT PUBLIC MEETINGS
The Frisco Police Department is wheelchair accessible. Access to the building and special parking are available at the primary south
entrance facing Stonebrook Parkway. Persons with disabilities who plan to attend this meeting and who may need auxiliary aids or
services such as interpreters for persons who are deaf or hearing impaired, readers, or large print, are requested to contact the City
