CALL TO ORDER
Chairman Suad Bejtovic called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. with a full
quorum of Board Members present.

2. Play Frisco report on activities related to arts, culture, events, park

A. Council Report
Cultural Affairs Manager of Play Frisco, Michelle Norris, reviewed the Council
Report with the Board.
B. Monthly reports on status of Public Art projects and Heritage Center
maintenance.
Cultural Affairs Manager of Play Frisco, Michelle Norris, updated the Board on
the Northwest Public Art agreement with Jeff Zischke that will be on the June 16
Council agenda for approval and the status of maintenance projects at the
Heritage Center.

Advisory Board Meeting Minutes.
Board Member Charlotte McKenzie moved to approve the May 4, 2026, Arts
and Culture Advisory Board Meeting Minutes. Kamal Bansi seconded the
motion.
Passed

4. Consider and act upon excusing board member absences from regularly
scheduled Arts and Culture Advisory Board meetings per City Charter Article
VIII Boards and Commissions Section 8.01(5).
Board Member Kamal Bansi moved to approve Board Member Saadia Ahmed's
absences from regularly scheduled Arts and Culture Advisory Board meetings
per City Charter Article VIII Boards and Commissions Section 8.01(5). Board
Member Vinee Patel seconded the motion.
Passed

5. Update on the Arts Tourism Grant program.
Cultural Affairs Manager of Play Frisco, Michelle Norris, provided an update on
transitioning the arts tourism grant program from the Frisco Arts Foundation to
the City of Frisco and outlined the transition-year subcommittee, consisting of
two board members, two Visit Frisco representatives, and one Frisco Arts
Foundation member, and she commended all participants for their longstanding
service.
6. Discuss updates on FY26 Annual Action Plan for the Arts and Culture Advisory
Board.
Cultural Affairs Manager of Play Frisco, Michelle Norris, provided updates on
the FY26 Annual Action Plan to the Board.
7. Artist ideation.
The Board updated staff on travelling philanthropy out of Chicago and
downtown San Diego murals.
8. Cultural Affairs update.
Assistant Cultural Affairs Manager of Play Frisco, Jennifer Russell, provided an
update about upcoming events and an overview of the events calendar to the
Board.
9. Public maintenance and conservation update.
Assistant Cultural Affairs Manager of Play Frisco, Jennifer Russell, updated the
board on current maintenance and conservation projects.
10. Recommendations for future agenda topics.
No recommendations were provided.

Board Member Saadia Ahmed moved to adjourn the meeting at 7:15 p.m. Board
Member Vinee Patel seconded the motion.

City Hall of the City of Frisco, Texas, a place convenient and readily accessible to the general public at all times, and said Notice was

Act, Texas Government Code § 551.001 et. seq., will be held by the Arts and Culture Advisory Board at the date, hour and place
given in this notice as the Arts and Culture Advisory Board may conveniently meet in such closed or executive meeting or session or
consult with the attorney for the City concerning any and all subjects and for any and all purposes permitted by the Act, including, but
not limited to, the following sanctions and purposes:
Texas Government Code Section:
§ 551.071 – Private consultation with the attorney for the City.
§ 551.072 – Discussing purchase, exchange, lease or value of real property.
§ 551.074 – Discussing personnel or to hear complaints against personnel.
NOTICE
Pursuant to City of Frisco Ordinance Number 19-10-87 each member of the public wishing to address the Public Art Board shall be
entitled to speak for up to five (5) minutes, unless ten (10) or more members of the public are present to speak on a single agenda
item, in which case the Public Art Board may by majority vote reduce the allotted time from five (5) minutes to three (3) minutes per
speaker to ensure that as many people as possible have an opportunity to speak, subject to the requirements of other law.
NOTICE OF ASSISTANCE AT PUBLIC MEETINGS
The George A. Purefoy Municipal Center is wheelchair accessible. Access to the building and special parking are available at the
primary north entrance facing Frisco Square Blvd. Persons with disabilities who plan to attend this meeting and who may need
auxiliary aids or services such as interpreters for persons who are deaf or hearing impaired, readers, or large print, are requested to
