No action may be taken on any item not on the agenda 4. REVIEW AND APPROVAL OF MINUTES FROM PREVIOUS MEETING: 4.1. Minutes: August 7, 2018 5. SPECIAL PRESENTATION(S): CITY INFORMATION ITEMS: 5.1. Recognize the Denkers for organizing and coordinating Founders Day. 5.2. Request from John Jensen to rent the City Building Basement weekly for Scout Troop Meetings (John Jensen) 5.3. Discuss Haights Creek Irrigation Lease Agreement (Brandon Green) 5.4. Discuss Updates to Fruit Heights Development, Design, and Construction Standards (Brandon Jones) 5.5. Discuss City-wide cottage meetings on September 11th. CITY COUNCIL BOARD LIAISON REPORTS – This time is set aside for Council members to report on the responsibilities they oversee as liaisons to the City Council and goals they would like to achieve by the next Council Meeting. • Julia Busche – Bike Trail and Youth City Council • Brandon Halliday – Planning Commission • Diane Anderson – Cemetery and Parks Committee • Gary Anderson – Citizen Corps • Jeanne Groberg –LAPC • John Pohlman – Wasatch Integrated Waste Board, COG and WFRC AGENDA REVIEW – The City Council will review items on the Agenda for City Council Meeting this evening. 7:30 P.M. POLICY SESSION – CITY COUNCIL CHAMBERS CITY BUSINESS: 6. CONSENT AGENDA: (These items are considered by the City Council to be routine. If discussion is desired on any particular item it may be removed from the consent agenda and considered separately.) 6.1. July Check Register 6.2. July Budget Report 7. ACTION ITEM APPROVAL – These items need action from Mayor and City Council 8. Approve/Deny/Continue: Haights Creek Irrigation Lease Agreement (Brandon Green) BACKGROUND: A Lease between Haights Creek Irrigation and Fruit Heights City is due to expire. Terms of the Updated Lease Agreement need to be Discussed and Approved by both Fruit Heights City and Haights Creek Irrigation. Staff Recommendation is that the Final Lease Agreement is Fair and Equitable for both Parties. 9. Approve/Deny/Continue: Ordinance 2018-004: Updates to the Fruit Heights City Development, Design, and Construction Standards. BACKGROUND: Development, Design, and Construction Standards have been updated. Fruit Heights Planning Commission has reviewed and approved the updates and forwarded these standards onto the City Council for Review and Approval. The Fruit Heights City Staff Recommends that the City Council Approve the Development, Design, and Construction Standards. 10. INFORMATION ITEMS/UPCOMING EVENTS: • 2018 Annual ULCT Fall Convention, September 12-14 2018 • Veterans Day, November 12, 2018 (City Office Closed) • Thanksgiving, November 22 & 23, 2018 (City Office Closed) 11. CITY STAFF REPORTS - This time is set aside to update the City Council on City Projects that City Staff is working on. These projects include Public Works Projects and Administrative Projects. • Public Works • City Engineer • City Planner • City Manager 12. CITY COUNCIL/MAYOR’S ITEMS – Time has been set aside for the City Council and Mayor to make comments. 13. ELECTRONIC MEETING: By motion of the Fruit Heights City Council, Elected Officials and City Staff can participate in regularly scheduled meetings via electronic media when approved by the Mayor. 14. CLOSED MEETING: By motion of the Fruit Heights City Council, pursuant to Title 52, Chapter 4 of the Utah Code, the City Council may vote to hold a closed meeting for any of the purposes identified in that chapter. 15.
