CALL TO ORDER BY MAYOR THOMAS R. KNEELAND - Invocation, Pledge of Allegiance, Roll Call Gahanna City Council met in Regular Session on Tuesday, January 2, 2019, in Council Chambers of City Hall, 200 South Hamilton Road, Gahanna, Ohio. Mayor Thomas R. Kneeland called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. and delivered an Invocation. Agenda for this meeting was published on December 28, 2018. Present 7 - Karen J. ELECTION OF PRESIDENT A motion was made by Angelou, seconded by Renner, to elect Brian Metzbower Council President for 2019. The motion carried by the following vote: Yes: 7- Angelou, Leeseberg, Renner, Schnetzer, Larick, Metzbower and McGregor C. ELECTION OF VICE PRESIDENT A motion was made by Angelou, seconded by Larick, to elect Stephen Renner Vice President of Council for 2019. Angelou wanted to add the following language to the Exhibit in the second paragraph: "that meets local design standards as well as Federal ADA guidelines." A motion was made by Angelou, seconded by Schnetzer, that the Ordinance was Adopted as Amended. EXECUTIVE SESSION - to go into Executive Session under authority of Section 5.40(a) of the Council Rules of Procedure to consider the appointment, employment, dismissal, discipline, promotion, demotion, or compensation of a public employee or official, or the investigation of charges or complaints against a public employee, official, licensee, or regulated individual, unless the public employee, official, licensee, or regulated individual requests a public hearing. A motion was made by Renner, seconded by Larick, to go into Executive Session under authority of Section 5.40(a) of the Council Rules of Procedure to consider the appointment, employment, dismissal, discipline, promotion, demotion, or compensation of a public employee or official, or the investigation of charges or complaints against a public employee, official, licensee, or regulated individual, unless the public employee, official, licensee, or regulated individual requests a public hearing. President Larick requested Mayor Kneeland and HR Director Vollmer attend the Executive Session in the Council Conference Room. Council rose to Executive Session at 7:43 p.m. Council rose to report from Executive Session at 10:08 p.m. with no action taken.
