REPRESENTATIVES: Community Improvement Corporation (CIC) - Larick Mr. Larick said the next meeting will be November 24th and update will be coming. Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission (MORPC) - Angelou City of Gahanna Page 4 City Council Meeting Minutes November 2, 2020 Mrs. Angelou said the next Executive Committee meeting will be this Thursday and Commission meeting is one week from Thursday. Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) - Leeseberg Mr. Leeseberg gave the CVB report (attached). 2020-176 Convention & Visitor's Bureau Report, November 2, 2020 School Board (SB) - Schnetzer No report. J. OFFICIAL REPORTS: Mayor Mayor Jadwin presented her report which is attached to the minutes. Highlights: City Hall will be closed on election day for usual business and will be cleaned after the polls closed and reopened on Wednesday morning. COVID 19 is on the rise again in central Ohio and she encouraged everyone to stay the course on safety protocols to keep everyone safe. 2020-177 Mayor's Report, November 2, 2020 City Attorney The City Attorney stated that he will have 3 ordinances next week that he forwarded to Council for feedback. K. COUNCIL COMMENT Mr. Larick said he hoped there will be a peaceful voting process over the next few days. Mrs. Angelou said she hoped everyone goes out and votes. She remembers her first time voting, you had to be 21 at the time. She shared an excerpt from Proverbs 4.25 and asked everyone to have a great week. Ms. Bowers attached her constituent report and shared her experience City of Gahanna Page 5 City Council Meeting Minutes November 2, 2020 with her ride along with Lt. Moffitt. She discussed West Side Pride and the community safety briefing with the Chief. She discussed that the summary of community discussions are in her report and she pointed out an email from Krista Wood on Health District concerns and asked that they be looked into some of the things she discussed. Mr. Renner said as of yesterday over 97 million votes have already been cast and regardless views, this is a good thing for democracy. Mr. Schnetzer said welcome to Sophia Marshall and reminded Council that next week will be a budget discussion and to please send questions by the end of the day Weds. He shared the smile.amazon.com platform and encouraged using it to support Gahanna charities. Mrs. McGregor encouraged citizens to vote and hoped for a peaceful outcome.
