Angelou, Brian D. Larick, Ryan P. Jolley, and Thomas R. Kneeland Absent 1 - Beryl D. Anderson Additional Attendees: Isobel Sherwood, Dottie Franey, Karl Wetherholt, Shane Ewald, Chief Murphy. ISSUES - From Director of Public Service: Permission to Bid - Street Light Maintenance Jolley called the meeting for Monday, September 23, to order; said jump right to first item of street light maintenance. Franey said we hire out our street light maintenance and that contract will expire at the end of this year; tonight we are asking for permission to bid that contract. Larick clarified with Franey that this is for street lights, not traffic lights. Recommendation: Motion Resolution, Consent Agenda. ISSUES - From Chief of Police: Accept Funds/Supp. App. - Law Enforcement Trust Fund Case #04CV-8953 Murphy said we had 2 state law enforcement seizures; one for $600 of which we are asking to supplementally appropriate $345 to the Trust Fund; the second one was for $4,449 and we are asking to move $1,227 of that to the Law Enforcement Trust Fund. Jolley asked for questions; there were none. Recommendation: 1st Reading, no need to come back; 2nd Reading, Consent Agenda. ISSUES-From Clerk of Council Parkland Deed Acceptance Sherwood said I received the deed in the mail today for the parkland on Hamilton Road behind the apartments; we need to do our standard acceptance ordinance for the consent agenda. Sherwood said I don't have final arrangement information yet, but Anderson said the wake for Marv's father is tomorrow and the funeral is Wednesday at the United AME Church in Xenia; she didn't have the exact name of the funeral home so I could not find the obituary; her cousin is being buried in New York on Friday; a card has been sent from Council. Kneeland said I have a question; we had Ordinance 127 come through for the appurtenances for Hannah Farms; I wondered if there was a way to get parcel numbers on legislation like this for the parkland dedication and for whatever land winds up with the City; these might actually be recorded with the County, but I would be interested in having that on any of the parkland dedications. Sherwood said there is a separate ordinance to accept parkland; it would not be on that. Kneeland said right but this has jogged my memory; so when we do this going forward can we add parcel numbers to the legislation. Wetherholt said that is usually in the description. Sherwood said I will put it in our manual; it has been 5 years since we have accepted any parkland. Kneeland said that would be fine.
