CALL MEETING TO ORDER Jane Allinder, Chair called to order the Landscape Board meeting on Wednesday, April 10, 2019, at 6:00 p.m. B. ROLL CALL Present 4 - Mark DiGiando, Melissa Hyde, Jane Allinder, and Matt Winger Absent 1 - Kevin Dengel C. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Motion was made by DiGiando, seconded by Winger, to approve the January 9, 2019 meeting minutes. Motion carried by the following vote: Yes: 4- DiGiando, Hyde, Allinder and Winger Absent: 1- Dengel 2019-0020 LB Mins 1-9-2019 D. ADDITIONS OR CORRECTIONS TO THE AGENDA None E. HEARING OF VISITORS None F. OLD BUSINESS i. Meeting Dates The next Landscape Board meeting is tentatively scheduled for August 14, 2019. Barr will research this Board becoming an Ad Hoc group to City of Gahanna Page 1 Landscape Board Meeting Minutes April 10, 2019 meet when needed. G. NEW BUSINESS i. BEE CITY USA - JULIE HUSSEY Hussey explained that in 2018 the City did not meet all the requirements for the Bee City USA designation. A plan is in the works to meet the requirements for next year. ii. Comprehensive Landscape Plan Hussey shared a draft of the new Comprehensive Landscape Plan. There were many updates and changes necessary that the plan from 2016 was totally re-written. After much discussion the Board made some edits to the document. Draft with changes attached to minutes. Motion was made by Hyde, seconded by DiGiando, to approve with the edits discussed the Comprehensive Landscape Plan dated April 10, 2019 and to recommend to Council. CORRESPONDENCE AND ACTIONS Barr shared that on April 26, 2019, 10:30am is the Opening Ceremony for the Big Walnut Trail, Section 4, at the bridge adjacent to the old FOP property. April 27, 2019, 8am - 10am is the Arbor Day Celebration, with tree plantings; 10 am is the Ribbon Cutting and name reveal for the new Park at McCutcheon and Hines Road. I.
