A. CALL TO ORDER
Agenda Statement: The City of Gainesville encourages civil public speech.
Disruptive behavior is not permitted during City Commission and Advisory Board
meetings. Please do not bring food, drinks, props, signs, posters, or similar

B. ADOPTION OF THE AGENDA
FUNDING RECOMMENDATIONS
Citizens Advisory Committee for Community Development (CACCD) FY 24-25
CDBG and HOME to determine funding recommendations for outside agencies
housing and public services activities.
Explanation:
The CACCD, having received and reviewed all FY 24-25 CDBG and HOME
applications for activities and services funding from outside agencies, will
provide allocation recommendations to the Gainesville City Commission for their
consideration and approval at the August 8, 2024, City Commission meeting.
Committee review and funding recommendations are for the following set-
asides:
• CDBG (Housing - $210,000.00 and Public Services - $205,000.00).
NOTE: $25,000.00 of Public Services funds is annually set aside by the
Gainesville City Commission to support the City's Cold Weather Shelter
Program
• HOME (Housing - $125,000.00 and Community Housing Development
Organization (CHDO) Reserve - $82,265.00)
Funded agencies will provide housing and public services activities and/or
programs to assist extremely low, very low, low, and moderate-income (LMI)
City residents, utilizing the authorized percentage of allocated Community
Development Block Grant (CDBG) and Home Investment Partnerships Program
(HOME) funding provided by the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Page 2
of 3 Development (HUD) for the period October 1, 2024, to September 30, 2025.
