On June 22,2017 , a site inspection was performed by the Building Codes and/or Fire Prevention
departments of the Cify of Gallatin. The building and or buildings at the above referenced
location were found to be dangerous and unfit for human habitation, based on the standards set
forth in the Gallatin Municipal Code, Chapter 5, Article IX.
House was burned and is uninhabitable-
Structure is unsecwed, unsanitary and unsafe.
Rodent and mosquito infested-
Structure has been condemned.
The owner and/or occupants must vacate the building(s) immediately and the structure(s) must
be secured and remain vacant until all repairs are made or the structure(s) are demolished.
Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 68, Chapter 102-!17 specifies that failure to comply with this
order is considered a Class B misdemeanor punishable by up to six months in jail or up to a $500
fine or both.
You should contact the City of Gallatin Building Official immediately to specify whether you
accept or reject the terms of this order. If not, a Show Cause hearing shall be scheduled before
the Gallatin Crty Council to determine whether the City shall proceed with necessary repair or
demolition with costs assessed against the properfy as a iien.

SUMMARY:
This is a long time vacant and unsecured building that is deteriorated to the degree as to be
uninhabitable. The roof was severely damaged withn a tree fell on it in 2015.
RECOMMENDATION:
Building should be demolished.
