Councilman Alexander made motion to approve; Councilwoman George seconded. Motion carried with 5 ayes and 0 nays. Council Committee Minutes August 9,2022 Public Recoenition Councilman Overton opened public recognition. O Joe Debord of 1007 Hart Street asked council to reroute SR-174 from Red River Road, Dorothy Jordan, Blythe Avenue, and Albert Gallatin to Dobbins Pike. With no one else wishing to speak public recognition was closed. Mayor's Comments Mayor Brown reminded everyone of the following upcoming events: . Appetites & Airplanes at the Music City Executive Airport on August L3, 2022. . The Sumner County Museum Songs and Stories on August13,2022. . Third Thursday on Main on Augustl8,2022' Mayor Brown commended the Gallatin Fire Department and all departments who assisted with the fire atthe new sumner County Courthouse. Mayor Brown mentioned the fun had at the VIP Swim Party at the Tommy Garrott Aquatics Facility. Agenda 1 on and Discussion of the Caldwell Place Studv. City Planner Bill McCord presented the Caldwell Place Annexation Study 2. #02208-43 Rezonine 5.3 from the R-10 Medium Residential District the R-5 Density Residential District and A a New Development Plan for Grove. City planner Bill McCord provided a PowerPoint presentation and detailed the request 1or rezoning and a new master development plan for Lashley Grove. Council discussed parking options for this development. 2 Council Committee Minutes August 9,2022 Mr. McCord stated the Planning Commission recommended approval. Discussion continued about additional parking options and widening Hatten Track Road. Councilman Hayes made motion to move to council; Councilman Alexander seconded. Motion carried with 5 ayes and 0 nays. 3. Ordinance Vacatine Rieht-of-Wav on Circle Located in the Vertrees T Subdivision. City Engineer Nick Tuttle presented this ordinance. Mr. Tuttle explained that the property owners must have the property surveyed and provide a legal description to obtain ownership. Resolution # R2208-65 A the Gallatin Parks & Recreation to for the 2023 H Place from the Blue Cross B lueShield of Tennessee Foundation. Parks & Recreation Assistant Director Robbie Riley presented this resolution. Councilman Alexander made motion to move to council; Councilwoman Love seconded. City Attorney Susan High-McAuley stated an ordinance was required' Chief Beaman also asked for direction on purchasing an additional apparatus to lock in the2022 price.
